En "La ira de los dioses" confluyen diferentes interpretaciones que se han dado a los eclipses a lo largo de la historia: en Asia el sol era devorado por dragones, para los mayas eran combates estelares entre los dioses por tener los mejores sitios del universo. Otras historias lo relacionan con la inmortalidad, el amor o los sacrificios. Varios sucedieron durante momentos de batalla, e interpretándolos como la ira de los dioses, aplacaron la rebelión llevando al mundo a momentos de paz.
Estos dioses, inspirados en pinturas rupestres (de Mongolia y nativa americana), son los protagonistas del cuadro (arriba izquierda).

In "The Wrath of the Gods" different interpretations that have been given to eclipses throughout history come together: in Asia the sun was devoured by dragons, for the Mayans they were stellar combats between the gods for having the best places in the universe . Other stories relate it to immortality, love or sacrifices. Several happened during moments of battle, and interpreting them as the wrath of the gods, they appeased the rebellion leading the world to moments of peace.
These gods, inspired by cave paintings (Mongolian and Native American), are the protagonists of the painting (above left).
